Kit Lancaster started Sterling Edge Financial in 2018 after seeing a need in the marketplace for financial planning, financial coaching and consulting on financial decisions. A firm with no investment minimums and no requirement to purchase a product from us to get advice.
Growing up in Elkhart Indiana, attending the University of Denver, serving as a Field Artillery Officer in the Army and working as an advisor to clients all over Chicago and the United States has given Kit a diverse and deep perspective on how people think about money. How experiences, goals, behaviors, values, constraints and opportunities influence and affect our ability to make financial decisions.
What motivates Kit is the opportunity to help clients make the most of their money and align their finances with their values, life and goals. Saving them time, saving them money, helping them avoid mistakes, giving them confidence and a process to enable progress to personal, family and professional goals.

Katie joined Sterling Edge Financial in Feb 2021 after working as a Financial Professional for a large financial institution in Kansas City, MO. She felt her values and goals weren't parallel with the firm she was at, so she decided she would finally pursue her dream of living in the mountains. She moved to Crested Butte, CO and found Sterling Edge Financial.
Katie graduated from the University of Missouri with a dual-degree in Finance and International Studies. She spent 1.5 years living and studying abroad in Brazil before and throughout college. Learning to live within a different culture has strengthened her ability to listen to and empathize with the people that surround her.
While life has taken her many different places, she was drawn towards finance at a young age, seeing her Grandpa comb through the Wall Street Journal finance section on a daily basis. She has a passion for educating and empowering people to achieve their goals.
